Online communications channels are increasingly important as we become more mobile, more busy, and more determined to stay informed.

When’s the last time you actually used a phone book to look up a business address or to find an old friend?

Writing for the web brings with it a whole new set of challenges that are different than print. Researchers tell us:

  • we have about 1/2 a second to make a good first (web) impression
  • only 5 seconds to convince someone to read our page
  • that 90 seconds of a reader’s attention is very good, and
  • keeping someone on our site for 3 minutes is like a lifetime…

Blogging, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, next generation webpages… these (and other rapidly emerging) channels are to our communication efforts what the telephone was to those in our position at the dawn of the 20th Century, the radio in the 1920’s, and television in the 1950’s. What are they, do they have value, how can we use them? I can help you work through the opportunities and challenges these new tools present for your business or organization.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering,Kiangle” is taken from an Irish word, “ceangal,” which means “link, relationship, bond, connection…” I kinda like the triangle image the sound of it (and my simplified spelling) brings to my mind…

You, me, and your client, working together towards your client’s goal…
